Throwback Jam of the Week: Warren G (feat. Nate Dogg) – Regulate

This just came up on shuffle and I was brought back to like 4th grade bumpin this in my blue PowerWheels.  Classic all the way around. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Tweet

FSN Sideline Reporter Decked

Bummer.  Ms. Steele shows off a hell of an arm here, the spiral on that thing was absurd.  So I can’t really knock her for this, it just sucks she got a concussion celebrating afterwards.  I have to put this on the guy though…I mean how can he go full force into her with the celebration when she weighs about half of his body weight?  Could’ve thought this one out a little better- Tweet

Excitement Building For “Where The Wild Things Are”?

I’m trying to gauge general excitement for this flick, people either grew up with the book and can’t wait to see the movie…or they have no idea what the huge buildup is about.  To the naked eye, the trailer could look like the director was on acid…but for me, this book was my jam back in elementary school, so I can’t wait to see how it translates to the big screen.  Hit me with your thoughts- Tweet

T.I. – Hell of a Life

The mastered cut of an unreleased track from T.I.  Not sure when he recorded this cause he’s clearly in jail right now. The chorus sounds exactly like “Whatever You Like”, but decent nonetheless. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Tweet

Miike Snow/Drake : Cult Logic Forever (Mixed By The Hood Internet)

Cause everybody loves a good mash-up, I’ve got the new track from the underground mash-up kings known as “The Hood Internet”.  Definitely check out their site and listen to their playlist…props to Nicky Rubio for the find. We did a Miike Snow post a few days back…but get yourself familar with “Cult Logic” before you listen to the mash-up: [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Somehow the geniuses over at The Hood Internet are able to take that, throw in Drake, Kanye, and Lil Wayne, blend it together… and it works out perfectly…check it out: [Audio clip: view full … Continue reading

Vampire Weekend – Horchata

Just stumbled across this new one from the ever so bro indie rock band coming out of Columbia.  It’s got the same flavor as their first album, which blew up all over college campuses for a reason.  It’ll be the first single off their upcoming album, Contra, which drops in early 2010.  Props to DCtoBC for the find. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Vampire Weekend – Horchata While we’re at it educate yourself with this Chromeo remix of “The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance” off of Vampire Weekend’s debut CD.  Chromeo can do no wrong. Entourage, Why Do You Do This To Me?

In what has been hands down the most boring, least entertaining season of Entourage, my hopes and dreams for the show have been pretty much shot.  Previously a reason to camp out on the couch Sunday nights at 10:30, the show has gradually transitioned into a lame, uneventful way to spend 30 minutes.  There’s been absolutely no legitimate storyline the entire sixth season; instead, it’s been episode after episode of filler subplots  (2 full episodes were spent figuring out who stole Vince’s boxers).  The writers have strayed away from what initially made the show so appealing; following Vince and his … Continue reading
