Some Unreleased Cudi to Brighten Up Your Day

If you’re like me, you’re just starting to get over KiD CuDi’s debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day.  It just kept growing and growing on me, and like 2 months later I realized I was still listening to it.  So just when I’ve been moving on to other material, I come across this demo tape of potential tracks for the album, none of which made the cut.  This dropped back in late August and breezed right by me, until now.  It’s looking like the Cudi phase will continue.  Here are a few standouts from the demo, … Continue reading

1986 Glasgow Diamonds Football Anthem

Arguably the greatest musical piece ever constructed, the anthem for the 1986 Glasgow Diamonds was unable to help their season, as they finished winless.  That’s a lie, as I don’t think stats for the Scottish football league have been kept, however the dude’s face at 1:20 tells me that there’s no way they ever won a game.  Regardless, that doesn’t stop this low-budget music video from being one of the greatest ever. Bobby Ray – No Man’s Land

Awesome track here from Bobby Ray/B.o.B.  I’m pretty sure the guy goes by two different identities.  B.o.B. represents the rapper side of himself, and Bobby Ray is the more R&B side; either way he’s absurdly talented and makes real good music.  Guitarist, singer, rapper, the guy’s got the full package. Shakira (feat. KiD CuDi) – Did It Again (Remix)

A little gem right here that’s about to blow up the airwaves.  Really wasn’t feeling it at all at first but it’s got me hooked now.  Cudi never fails. Working on a new Chuckness logo…notice a really small version of the prototype above.  Some Photoshop mastery is taking place.. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Shakira (feat. Vampire Weekend – Cousins

Another track off of the upcoming sophomore album, Contra.  Absolutely no idea what they’re saying in the song, but after a couple plays it’s really grown on me.  This band continues to impress. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Vampire Weekend – Cousins Tweet

“Hi, It’s Vince with the Slap Chop”

As everybody knows the new rage is to auto-tune anything and everything…this is just one example that put me out of commission for a good 20 minutes. Tweet

Sam Adams – I Hate College

Been getting a lot of requests to post this up here…Sam Adams is a kid from Trinity College who seems to be following Asher Roth’s path.  The new trend seems to be preppy kids from the east coast jumping into the rap game…who knew. Hailing from Wayland, MA, Adams’ flows over popular beats have been getting him a ton of attention across college campuses and in turn, from record labels.  This right here has been out since the summer, but it’s continuously gaining steam…way better than the original (not hard to do). Shwayze (feat. Snoop Dogg) – Livin’ It Up

Shwayze’s self-titled first album got a decent amount of play from me two summers ago.  All of his songs sound more or less exactly the same, but it’s an easy, chilled out sound so there’s nothing wrong with it.  Here’s his first single off his second album, Let It Beat, featuring Snoop. Questionable Jams That I’m No Longer Afraid to Blast

I apologize in advance for the sluggish updating of the site lately…the life of TheChuckness has been getting slightly busy…it’s embarrassing I haven’t posted new music in a week.  However, in the week since I’ve posted last, I’ve found myself listening to some jams that may be considered questionable in sexual orientation.  Sometimes this happens, and don’t worry, it’s not a huge deal.  Occasionally songs are just too catchy to leave out of your life forever.  You’re skeptical to download them and don’t want them in your iTunes library, yet when they come on the radio you go wild.  Everybody … Continue reading
