The 50 Best Songs of 2009

2009 was a wild year for music in general.  What used to be a world filled with cookie-cutter genres, 2009 brought forth the feeling of being utterly unable to categorize a song.  Genres started blending together.  Futuristic techno sounds became mainstream, some mixtapes became more hyped than albums, and it was the year of the Stanky Legg. I found this jam a couple weeks ago and it is pretty addicting.  This guy edIT is apart of the same group, Glitch Mob, that brought us the remix of Nalepa’s song “Monday”.  I was playing this song all day on the beaches in Puerto Rico and I am sure you all will get loose to it as well. Flavor Flav- I’ll Never Let You Go (Seriously?)

This song is absolutely ridiculous.  Flavor Flav looks to be 100% serious with this attempt at using auto-tune to make a hit.  The video takes the shittiness of auto-tune and puts it on a whole new level.  I post this clearly not because I enjoy the song, but because of its pure insanity.  Flavor Flav legitimately looks like he’s 68 years old.
