Aloe Blacc- I Need A Dollar (How To Make It In America)
This song is the theme song for HBO’s new show How To Make It In America and is also the lead single off of the artist Aloe Blacc’s forthcoming album, Good Things. The song was stuck in my head for days the first time I watched the show so I had to find the track and get it on my Ipod. The song fits perfect with the concept of the HBO show as well.

Raheem DeVaughn (feat. Wale) – The Greatness

I found this song the other day on Nah Right and have been listening to it all weekend. Raheem DeVaughn is an R&B artist who was raised in PG County right by Washington D.C. and has a super dope voice. Obviously the fact that Wale provided a verse makes this song that much better.
P.S. I have a bunch of tests for school coming up this week and have been listening to R&B all week while studying. It definitely makes everything a lot easier.

P.P.S. Here is another song with Raheem DeVaughn and Phil Ade jumping on my favorite song of 2009 & so far 2010, Wale’s “Pretty Girls”. A dope unofficial remix.

John Legend- There With You
John Legend is the man and it is that simple. His first album, Get Lifted, is easily one of my favorite albums of all time. This song is dope, I just wish he would make an album like his first one where he plays the piano more often.

B.o.B (feat. T-Pain)- Trunk Band
This track surfaced the other day on the blogosphere but was recorded three years ago. Definitely a fire track and no matter what your thoughts are on T-Pain there is no doubting his ability to destroy almost every hook he jumps on.

Gorillaz- Stylo (Chiddy Bang Remix)
Chiddy Bang took the first leak off of the new Gorillaz album and upped the quality of the song tenfold. This remix has more of a rap feel to it mixed with Xaphoon adding crazy shit from the keyboards. Enjoy…

Murs & 9th Wonder- 3:16 pt. 2
Here is a track that the legendary producer 9th Wonder and Murs decided to give out for free that will not be on their collaborative album, Fornever, dropping on March 30th. Murs is someone who I haven’t listened to that much, but everything I have heard has been quality. And 9th wonder has some of the most soulful, smooth production out there. Enjoy…

Kid Cudi- Know Why(prod. Dot Da Genius)
Some new Cudder material I spotted over on Nah Right that is produced by Dot Da Genius. This track is not off of Kid Cudi’s next album, Cudder, but is still a quality track that was recorded back in 2008.

Help Pick This College Baseball Legend’s Walk-Up Song
A friend of mine recently hit me up looking for suggestions for his upcoming baseball season’s walk-up song. If you find yourself out of the loop here, the walk-up song is the jam that’s blasted over the speakers as a batter walks to the plate, and it’s arguably the most important facet of a player’s game. It’s representative of the player’s state of mind, and can be utilized as a devastating intimidation factor.
You might be asking yourself, why is this suburban Holy Cross baseball player side by side in a photo with Wale? Not only do they share similar physical attributes, but Matty P. has Wale’s “Nike Boots” as his top walk-up pick right now. If unfamiliar, this is the jam that put Wale on the map outside of D.C.; give it a listen below:

Definitely a solid pick as a walk-up jam, there’s no doubt about it…but I think we can do even better. First of all, this isn’t just an ordinary college baseball player, so we can’t just go with an ordinary jam…Matty P deserves perfection. The kid hit .423 with 7 dingers and 37 RBIs, and he needs a banger to coincide with his dominance.
Hit me with some recommendations in the comment section.

Wakey!Wakey! (feat. Theo Martins) – Twenty Two

I attempted to start a breakfast delivery company senior year of college called “Wakey, Wakey Eggs & Bakey” (all Tow’s idea). I made sick yellow t-shirts with an unbelievable logo of an egg skateboarding on a piece of bacon with bagels as wheels (copyrighted), dished them out to my friends, but then realized that this business idea would involve me waking up in the early hours of the morning on the weekends, so it never got further than the t-shirts. It would’ve been a goldmine though and that’s all that counts.
As for this jam, I have absolutely no background information on it because I know neither of the artists who put it together. I spotted it over at P&P, and I’m really into the blend of genres it puts forth. It definitely works for me, so check it out.

Snoop Dogg (feat. Kid Cudi) – That Tree

Cudi is too good at coming up with absurdly catchy choruses, it’s not even fair. Here he does it again, and Snoop joins in to make it complete. Give it a spin-
