Yeasayer – Ambling Alp (Alan Wilkis Remix)

Here’s a smooth remix to Yeasayer’s “Ambling Alp”.  I was definitely a bit hesitant at first, but I came around after a couple spins.  The original was getting abused by me since I first heard it, so this change has done good things for me over here.  Give it a go. Money To Blow (Xaphoon Jones Remix)

The legend behind Chiddy Bang,Xaphoon Jones, is on the scene again with his wild remixes. Here he takes Birdman, Drake & Lil Wayne’s horrendously popular “Money To Blow” and ices it out. As Tow said previously, prepare yourself for Chiddy Bang’s upcoming EP, which drops later this month. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Money To Blow (Xaphoon Jones Remix) Tweet

DJ Z-Trip- M@shUptight

I found this mash-up in a ski video the other day and have been bumping it consistently since.  The mash-up is pretty unique with Stevie Wonder’s lyrics from”Uptight” mixed with the sounds from Guns N Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine”.  Its pretty addictive so tell me what you think… [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: DJ Z-Trip- M@shUptight Tweet

HBO: How To Make It In America- Episode 1

HBO so graciously decided to post the first episode of their new show, How To Make It In America,  online for everyone to see before it actually premiers this Sunday, February 14th at 10PM ET.  The show looks good so far and could definitely end up being a great series.  And of course Scott Mescudi aka Kid Cudi plays one of the characters on the show, so it will definitely be good to see his acting. Chiddy Bang Promotional Video + “Ice Cream Man”

This video was put together by the record label that Chiddy Bang recently signed to in order to promote their EP titled The Opposite of Adults that is set to drop on February 22nd. The label they signed to is a UK based company called Parlophone, who also works/worked with The Beatles, Coldplay, Radiohead, Gorillaz, and many more.   Definitely seems like a good label for the duo out of Philly to be apart of. Here is a track from Chiddy that I heard on their website a little while ago but they just recently posted a download link.  Plus it … Continue reading

B.o.B- May 25th (Mixtape)

B.o.B aka Bobby Ray dropped this mixtape yesterday and in classic B.o.B fashion he does not disappoint at all.  I love how B.o.B’s sound is so unique, infusing hip hop and rock together perfectly.  I listened to the whole tape a couple times through and it is something that should be in everyone’s music library.  Look out for Bobby Ray’s album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which comes out on May 25th (I wonder where he got the name for this mixtape?) of this year.  Here are some standouts: B.o.B- The Rain [Audio clip: view full post to listen] B.o.b … Continue reading

Kid Cudi- Highs N Lows (Produced by Dot Da Genius)

Here is some old material from Cudder that I recently found on the producer Dot Da Genius’ website.  For those of you who do not know who that is, he is the talented producer behind “Day ‘n’ Night”.  This song is from about 3-4 years ago and the sample for the song is Bob Dylan’s “Lay Lady Lay”.
