Snoop Dogg- That Tree (Feat. Kid Cudi) (Clockwork REMIX)

An epic remix of the song from Cudder and Snoop Dogg that was released a week or two ago.  Definitely turns that song into more of a party record.  P&P with the find. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Snoop Dogg- That Tree (Feat. Kid Cudi) (Clockwork Remix) Tweet

Two Door Cinema Club- Undercover Martyn (Passion Pit Remix)

Passion Pit comes in and sprinkles some magic dust on this gem from an Indie/Electro group from Northern Ireland that I know absolutely nothing about.  Enjoy… [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Two Door Cinema Club- Undercover Martyn (Passion Pit Remix) P.S. I am seeing Passion Pit in Denver about a month from now…going to be epic. Tweet

Objektiv One- World Tour (Chop Suey Slash Up)(Wale Vs. Grand Funk Railroad)

I had to post this mash-up when I first heard it.  Wale over some old-school 70′s rock is absurd.  Not sure how I feel about it yet. Download: Objektiv One- World Tour (Chop Suey Slash Up)(Wale Vs. Grand Funk Railroad) [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Tweet

Murs & 9th Wonder- The Problem Is (Feat. Sick Jacken & Uncle Chucc)

Another track leaked from the recording sessions of 9th Wonder and Murs.  This song is much better then the previous leak and it actually will be on their album, Fornever, which will be released on March 30th.  The singer on the hook sounds just like John Legend to me, which threw me off at first.  Murs is starting to really grow on me as well and obviously 9th Wonder comes with perfection on the production side. How To Make It In America Ep.4

HBO posted this episode online 5 days early for our viewing pleasures on the internet.  I really enjoy this show, it is moving kind of slow but this episode picked it up a little bit. Click here or the page numbers on the bottom if you missed episodes 2 & 3. Tweet

Gorillaz – Superfast Jellyfish (and full album stream)

Jimbo wouldn’t stop singing this jam today at work and he’s too lazy to throw it up here so I figured I’d handle it for him.  Don’t be weirded out by the intro to this one (although it’s hard not to be)…it’s definitely worth the listen.  It’s typical Gorillaz, as they continue to walk the fine line between bizarro-world and catchy music.  If a jellyfish were to sing, I’m 99% sure it would sound exactly like this chorus here…feel free to disagree. Courtesy of NPR, listen to the Gorillaz’ new album Plastic Beach in it’s entirety one week before it’s … Continue reading

Justin Taylor – Closing In On Me

Here’s a new track off Justin Taylor’s upcoming mixtape The Prequel.  I’ve only heard two of his tracks, but so far he’s got me hooked.  His jam sampling Ratatat was in my head for weeks, and “Closing In On Me” has the same feel to it.  It’s tough to put in a genre, but I definitely hear an ever-so-slight hint of Cudi in him.  Definitely more R&B, but there are similar characteristics.  The Prequel drops March 6th, and looks like something to definitely keep your eyes out for.  P&P with the find yet again.
