Phoenix performed their smash “1901″ acoustically on KEXP radio a while ago, and I just got a hold of the MP3. Everybody’s heard this song 17 million times, and it’s still holding it’s own as one of my favorite tracks of last year. Regardless of how many times I hear it, I’m still not quite ready to change the radio station when it comes on. It continues to be utterly abused, so it’s always good to have an acoustic version to help continue the track’s reign. Definitely worth a listen, as you instantly become aware of the band’s talent through this stripped down version. [via WeAllWantSomeoneToShoutFor]
