I don’t know what prompted me to go on an Ellie Goulding rampage last night, but something came over me. I think it started with me listening to Chiddy Bang’s “Under The Sheets”, which samples her track of the same title. I was in need of some new music, and I wanted to see why she was causing such a ruckus in the UK. I got a hold of her debut album, Lights, and in all honesty, it’s awesome. It’s a blend of electro/indie music, and for some reason it just hit my ears at the right moment. Here’s a bonus track off of her album, and it’s a solid representation of what she’s about. Don’t go into this demanding it to sound like something you’ve heard before, and you’ll enjoy it. Check it out, let me know what you think.
