OK Go has paved a way to success through an arguably lost art form; the music video. People just don’t give a shit about music videos anymore, the years spent rushing home from school to catch Total Request Live on MTV are long gone. Yeah, videos still circulate around the internet and people check them out, but they’re no longer as huge as they used to be.
OK Go has completely disregarded the fact that we no longer live in the day and age of the music video. Through sheer creativity, they’ve given themselves a unique identity. Most people couldn’t even name one of their songs, but they remember that video they did on the treadmills. It’s funny, I don’t even like their music that much, but their videos are beyond entertaining. Here’s their most recent video for their track “White Knuckles”, and this time they decide to incorporate dogs. Just add it to their resume.
