Pretty Lights is kind of killing it. A few years ago this Colorado native was DJing and throwing wild house parties. Now Derek Vincint Smith is living the good life, selling out venues across the US and Europe. His sell-out show at Colorado’s own Red Rocks Amphitheater last summer (and probably this summer too) sealed the deal…Pretty Lights is a force to be reckoned with. His sound, consisting of layers upon layers of samples, backed with crunchy bass and glitchy drums is a sure-shot recipe for a good time. His newly formed label, “Pretty Lights Music” showcases similar artists and (like his own music) gives everything away FOR FREE. His latest release, entitled “Unreleased 2010 Remixes” consists of a handful of banging tracks even your mother can enjoy. Besides the already posted Kanye remix, heres a selection of my favorites from the release.
