CyHi The Prynce – Royal Flush 2 (Mixtape)

G.O.O.D. Music is dominating the music industry right now. There have been a lot of big names in hip-hop who have put together a roster of amazing artists, like Young Money, Maybach Music Group, etc. Although the G.O.O.D. Music roster might not have the mainstream radio play or album sales that Young Money’s heavy hitters have, I believe Kanye has put together a group that no other label can hang with musically. With artists like Kanye, Common, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, CyHi The Prynce, and John Legend, it’s tough to argue against.

CyHi the Prynce was the only one of the group that I was not very familar with, and that has now changed since I got my hands on Royal Flush 2. Hailing from Atlanta, CyHi really shows his diversity on this project with uplifting records (“Stadium”), soulful samples (“Woopty Doo”), comedic relief (“Sunday Morning”), and a crazy song with a La Roux sample that came out of nowhere (“Bulletproof”). This mixtape seriously caught me off guard as I casually listened from my computer speakers, and I was instantly hooked.
