This kid is the truth. Shout out to @BauceSauce for leading me to this guy via his Twitter game. The most recent mixtape from NYC’s own Kardi, titled The Valedictorian, was recently released, and “Convocation” immediately jumped out to me with it’s soulful sample and smooth rhymes. The beat is eerily similar to something Common might go in on, and is worth the listen alone.
