While Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have a significant cult following, they should be infinitely more popular than they actually are, all things considered. Every track I’ve heard from them is filled with a passion that’s hard to find in music these days. Macklemore raps with meaning and authority, to the point where you buy into everything he says. Ryan Lewis has proven himself to be an exceptional producer behind the scenes. The combination and talent of these two guys is tough to come across in today’s world, and I feel like more recognition should come — especially after tracks like this.

“Can’t Hold Us” is their most recent release — be on the lookout for their debut studio album to drop at some point before the end of 2011.
