A buddy of mine told me to check out Portugal. The Man, not so much for their original material, but for some remixes of their work that other bands have put together. Well I got caught up in their original projects, and was immediately hooked when I got a hold of “So American”. A perfect song for a rainy Tuesday, there’s no question.

The group comes out of Portland, but they’re originally from Wasilla, Alaska, which is reason enough to give this a listen. Just signed to Atlantic Records, this is off their recent studio release In The Mountain In The Cloud. Pick up the album if you’re into their sound.
