OnCue really caught my attention with “Feel Tall”. I know he’s been around a bit before that dropped, and he has a couple of mixtapes under his belt, but his talents didn’t really hit me full force until I heard “Feel Tall”. The track encompasses everything that’s different about him, and it had me highly anticipating Can’t Wait, his next project. The day has come for us to really understand what OnCue brings to the table, so download the mixtape in it’s entirety below, and let me know what you think. Big things coming? Or just another young, rapper/singer combo? The jury’s out.

While I personally love Oncue and have followed him from very early on, I think he is incredibly talented and this mixtape really shows off all of his abilities. However, I dont know what kind of genre he could fall under to make it big. He’s not hard enough to be a rapper like a Meek Mill or Rick Ross type. He raps too much to fall under the category of alternative rock. He would really have to gain an underground following and release records through an independent label, similar to Mac Miller. But he doesnt have the same corniness and appeal to younger highschool kids like Mac does. His stuff is much darker and has more substance. While I really hope he makes his money doing the thing he loves, Im not sure if enough people will buy in. I will always show my support for him and his efforts though.
I love this mix! Cuey is so talented. Nicely said too B lew,Cuey may be just a lil too different to make it super big. Cj Luzi is an awesome producer, i often wonder how good cuey’s stuff might be without his production, however, “kinda late’ is one of my fave tracks and it was not his work..IDK. anyway, OnCue and the team manufactured a gem that i will be talking about for a while. FYI… I love ur site Chuck, thanks for all the hard work you put in just to make our ears happy!
