Star Slinger has a serious cult following. He looks like some kind of earthy geologist, but he makes these dynamite glitchy remixes that people swoon over. My first encounter with him came via his remix of Alex Winston’s “Sister Wife”, and then I was fully sold when I got my ears on “May I Walk With You?”. His music taste and remix resume are outrageously diverse, so I wasn’t surprised in the slightest to see him putting out a little hip-hop mixtape. The tape goes back and forth between his personal remixes and underground hip-hop jams, and I’ve been listening to it straight through with no concept of time.
