It’s about time for an earth-shattering instrumental. Odesza consists of two producers, currently residing in the state of Washington. BeachesBeaches and CatacombKid are their names individually; together they become Odesza. The duo just released their LP, Summer’s Gone, which is available for free over at Vibedeck.
To be honest, it’s been a bit since an instrumental has fully taken over my ears like this. There are so many elements in this track (and this goes for the whole album, for that matter), that it’s hard to keep up with it all. The combination of eerie, high-pitched vocals with hard-hitting drums and synthesizers is fully mastered here, and it’s a force to be reckoned with. Do yourself a favor and pick up the album in it’s entirety — it’ll be in heavy rotation for the foreseeable future.
