Ghost Beach came on the scene a few months ago with the unstoppable tour de force on the blog circuit that was “Miracle,” and they’ve yet to look back. Self-labeled as “tropical grit-hop” (?) the New York natives have established a firm grip on their own unique sound, and it’s evident throughout this new 5-song EP titled Modern Tongues. Huge supporter of these two; can never get enough of “Been There Before.” From their camp:
Only a few months old, Ghost Beach have perfected a retro-future aesthetic that sounds like the The Police, Depeche Mode, and Daft Punk, with a little Passion Pit sprinkled on top for good measure. They have no label backing but are setting the internet on fire right now with their soaring and anthemtic pop creations.
