There’s nothing like a remix of an old banger popping up out of the blue to ignite an old love. It shouldn’t happen all the time, as some originals just shouldn’t be touched — but this right here is an exception. Trampboat is a Finnish duo, and they killed this remix. If you enjoyed the original song in the slightest, then this edit is a must have.
This past week, OVERWERK released his latest EP on the free, The Nth Degree, (rhyme city) and it doesn’t disappoint. The Canadian DJ has really built his own sound and made a 6 track project that is a must have for any fan of electro house music. There are elements of dubstep to be found as well, but I feel like anything with heavy bass nowadays is easily put in that category. It’s tough for me to pick a favorite from this project but “Paradigm” is definitely a standout. Hit the stream below to see for yourself and head over to … Continue reading →

Looks like Wale decided to make a remix of his go-go inspired smash “Bait”. I love this original song. Not too much explanation needed, it’s just been a consistent play in my music library and refuses to get old. This remix on the other hand doesn’t do so much for me. Either way, the beat cranks and that can not be ignored.
To go right along with Chuck’s post from earlier, I wanted to put up this set from a week ago that not only starts off with the newly posted track, but continues for 3 hours and includes some more new material. I was fortunate enough to go to this show and partying with 10,000 people at the same massive venue was nothing short of epic. Hit the jump for the tracklist and the download. Download: Avicii at The DC Armory 11/18/2011 Tracklist: 01. Avicii & Nicky Romero – ID w/ Justice – D.A.N.C.E (Acappella) [Ed Banger] 02.
OVERWERK is a new producer worth keeping your eye on. I first learned about the man from when Jimbo posted the remix he did of Mord Fustang’s track a few months back. To be completely honest this song here was only the second jam I’d heard from the Canadian producer, but it’s got my attention. He’s got this melodic electro-pop sound down to a science. OVERWERK is releasing an EP titled The Nth Degree on November 30th, with this being the lead single. The best part is it’ll all be completely free…gotta love that. Download: OVERWERK- Buzzin’ Tweet

Chuck mentioned in his most recent post about the “RE:GENERATION” documentary that Skrillex would be a part of the project. Here we have the song he put together while working with none other than the remaining members of The Doors. This collaboration kind of set me back a bit when I first saw it. It’s a bizarre concept, to say the least. I’m not the biggest fan of the track — the vocals are a little off-putting…but the collaboration is so left field that I keep listening to it. Definitely would have been even more interesting if the legendary Jim … Continue reading →

With the marketing push for Ambition going full force right now, another cut from the album has been released to the masses. This was one of the tracks I was really looking forward to hearing, and it definitely surpasses my expectations. The previews we got yesterday really don’t give us much to figure out which tracks will shine. After listening to this song, featuring fellow MMG rappers Meek Mill and Rick Ross, it is clear that it will definitely be one of the stand outs.
