Wale (Feat. Lloyd)- Let’s Chill

Ahhh yes, a new Wale track that is quite fitting for me to post considering I am leaving for his show here in D.C. at the 9:30 Club in about an hour.  Much of the material that we have heard lately from Wale has been him experimenting with different beats and styles, like collaborating with various Southern rappers.  This track is closer to the sound of his earlier work off of his mixtapes and debut album. Chromeo (Featuring Elly Jackson)- Hot Mess (Duck Sauce Remix)

Armand Van Helden and A-Track, known as Duck Sauce, came in and did a little number to Chromeo’s record “Hot Mess”.  I’ve enjoyed all of the songs and remixes that Duck Sauce has produced…they’re just energetic tracks that consistently result in a good time. Enjoy this remix and the aesthetically pleasing artwork for the Chromeo single. Wiz Khalifa (feat. Snoop Dogg, Juicy J & T-Pain) – Black & Yellow (G-Mix)

Ohhh man, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa on the same track together is definitely a good look.  Here is the official remix for Wiz’s smash single also featuring Juicy J and T-Pain. *UPDATED*Kanye West (Feat. Cam’ron, Jim Jones, CyHi Da Prynce, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, Big Sean & Musiq Soulchild)- Christmas in Harlem

Ahhh yes… Some more Kanye material as if we have not gotten enough from this musical wizard.  I can never hate on a Christmas song.  This version right here is unfinished and there will be many more verses added.  I would assume the final version will release this Friday (G.O.O.D. Fridays) and probably one of the last G.O.O.D. Friday tracks for a while.  Whenever it comes out you can expect to find it here, but enjoy this for now. *UPDATE*: FunkMaster Flex dropped the full version with all the verses on the radio tonight, it feature tags but we will … Continue reading

Deadmau5 – I Can’t Behave Myself (Feat. Neon Hitch)

Deadmau5 dropped his album, 4×4=12, a couple weeks ago and personally I’m just not a fan.  Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely a couple of jams on there, but overall I think his previous two albums are so much better that there isn’t even a comparison.  Either way this track was released recently and it’s completely different from anything we’ve ever heard from him.  I don’t know the origins of the song because it was not on his album, he just kind of released it out of the blue.  It seems as if it’s his attempt at a pop … Continue reading

Ellie Goulding Covers + Remix

We all know how great Ellie Goulding is, and we also know that Chuck has a not so secret obsession with this English sensation.  Either way her music is great, and what I have here is a collection of four random tracks that she’s put out for our enjoyment.  Three of which are covers of Passion Pit, Elton John, and Temper Trap.  The last song is a remix of “Under the Sheets” that has been severely beneficial for my studying over the past couple days. Wolfgang Gartner – Space Junk

Wolfgang Gartner has had a huge year, dropping monster tracks with the likes of Deadmau5 and becoming label mates with Mr. Mau5 as well as Benny Benassi, Kaskade, Above and Beyond, and Armin van Buren over at Ultra Records.  I will have to admit though, I slept on Wolfgang for a while.  I really don’t know why, but I didn’t really start listening to him until a couple of months ago.  Definitely a huge mistake on my part because this guy is beyond talented.  This American electro house producer used to be a Deep House DJ going by the name … Continue reading

The Streets – Blinded By the Light (Nero Remix)

After seeing Jimbo’s post when I woke up this morning it reminded me of all the Nero remixes I have floating around in my iTunes library…for some reason they just haven’t been posted yet.  Above is a picture of the British artist, The Streets, and a couple months back Nero released a remix of his song, “Blinded By The Light”.  Nero is easily my favorite dupstep artist.  Like many other people I have a love/hate relationship with dupstep, but just about every song or remix that Nero puts out gets a lot of play in my library.  His style is … Continue reading

Wale (Feat. Roscoe Dash) – Talk2Me

Wale dropped this song with the Southern rapper Roscoe Dash, and it’s definitely a new sound that we haven’t heard from him before.  Apparently Wale is close to signing with Rick Ross’s label, Maybach Music, which is definitely a good look if it goes through.  I just bought a ticket for his show at 9:30 Club in D.C. on the 21st and I can’t wait.  This will be my first time seeing him perform a full show and it’s back in D.C…which means it’s bound to be crazy. UPDATED: Lil Wayne (Feat. Cory Gunz)- 6’7″ (No Tags)

Funkmaster Flex just premiered this song today and it seems to be the first single off of The Carter IV. It’s produced by Bangladesh, who’s the same guy who produced “A Milli”.  This song, like “A Milli”, has no chorus and is filled with Lil Wayne going crazy for 3 minutes…it’s got a nice Cory Gunz feature for the last minute or so as well.  Also like “A Milli” the beat is a sample looped throughout the whole song.  It’s pretty obvious that Wayne didn’t lose a step while in jail. On second thought, I barely noticed he was even … Continue reading
