Afrojack – Can’t Stop Me Now (Feat. Shermanology)

I’ve kind of been on an Afrojack binge lately.  I like to listen to live sets or a podcast when doing some strenuous activity, and lately he’s just been my go-to guy. In just about all the sets I have from him, he has been dropping this banger right here featuring the beautiful voice of Shermanology. I’ve had an extremely low quality rip of it and have been frothing for a better version. The internet was finally blessed with one just the other day. It’s still a radio rip, which you will find out quickly with the Sirius XM drops, … Continue reading

Wale – Tats On My Arm (Feat Rick Ross) (Clean)

For the second day in a row we’re blessed with a cut off of Wale’s sophmore album, Ambition.  I waited for the tagless version to drop before posting this, but it’s the clean version so you’ll have to deal with it for the time being.  Ambition seems to be coming together nicely, with the way these two previous releases have sent the Twitter world into a frenzy, Wale’s work ethic is clearly starting to pay off.   This is a perfect track to add to my road trip playlist as I begin my journey from D.C. to Boston for the … Continue reading

Wale – Lotus Flower Bomb (Feat. Miguel)

In order to celebrate the finishing of his album yesterday, Wale put up his next single, ”Lotus Flower Bomb”, for free download. Unlike his previous release, this will be on Ambition, which drops on 11-1-11. I really like this song; the beat is simple and smooth, the chorus is addictive, and Wale’s flow fits perfectly. It definitely has a R&B vibe to it as it’s a song catered to the ladies, which doesn’t deter from it’s quality. Snatch this up below and be on the look out for Wale’s sophomore album in about a month. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] … Continue reading

Coldplay – Every Teardrop is a Waterfall (Avicii ‘Tour’ Mix)

Here we have what Avicii’s SoundCloud page calls only “a preview” of the Coldplay remix that was in the video from the other day.  So maybe the young Swedish DJ plans on releasing a longer version, but who knows.  Either way if you didn’t catch the promo video, this was the main ingredient — so just bypass a step, add this to the library, and enjoy your weekend. Coldplay – Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (Avicii Tour Mix) (Preview)

Here we have a video showing of Avicii’s 3 day tour to Ibiza, Cannes, and Amsterdam.  Mainly posting this for the preview of a song that Avicii has been playing for a little while.  The preview of the new track comes in at about 3:33.  You might want to also check at about 2:28 where Avicii is casual playing a set with Tiesto, Guetta and Alesso along side him in the booth…no big deal. Wale – Best Night Ever (Feat. Rick Ross & Kevin Cossum)

Yesterday I was sitting down about mid-day to have some lunch and to watch some ESPN.  As usual, First Take was on and Skip Bayless was doing his normal act of yelling stubborn, often ridiculous opinions.  Only the person on the other end doing the exact same thing was none other than Wale.  Random to say the least, but after it aired I stumbled upon this new track from the DC native that was premiered by Funkmaster Flex the other day.  The song itself is a decent effort with a nice smooth sound and addicting chorus.  Not sure if this … Continue reading

Dada Life – Happy Violence

Here’s the first single and newest electro house gem from Dada Life that will be featured on his upcoming album, So Much Dada.  Not too much needed here, just a perfect tune to get you through hump day and closer to the weekend. Otto Knows – Million Voices

Avicii dropped this track towards the end of his set last week at Identity Festival and initially, I thought it was one of his new songs.  It wasn’t until I listened to his second Le7els podcast that I found out the song is actually from the man you see in the picture above, Otto Knows.  I don’t have too much information on the up and coming DJ, except that it seems as if Avicii has taken a liking to his work.  Definitely not a bad co-sign to have at this point.  Anyways, I’m into this song despite it’s repetitive … Continue reading

David Guetta & Avicii – Sunshine

Here we have another song off of David Guetta’s next studio album which drops on August 26th.  The album will apparently be 2 discs, with the first one focused on vocals, heavy on collaborations with various pop stars. The second disc will contain purely instrumentals such as this one and the gem posted the other day featuring Afrojack.  It’s great to see Guetta collaborating with Avicii; as most of the avid viewers of this blog know, we love some Avicii at The Chuckness.  I know Jimbo and Chuck are going to the Identity Festival in Boston today and I was … Continue reading

Wale – The Eleven One Eleven Theory (Mixtape)

Wale just dropped this mixtape today and it’s created a huge buzz so far.  The project debuted on Jay-Z’s website, Life and Times, and both the download links were shut down immediately due to the massive amount of traffic hitting the site.  Originally, I thought it was going to be 11 songs but it looks like it’s featuring 18; 5 tracks that were already released, and one bonus track.  Needless to say I haven’t listened to the songs yet, as it’s still downloading, but if the past Wale mixtapes are any indication…then this should be gold. Hit the download link … Continue reading
