Wale has been releasing some pretty quality tracks lately and according to his Twitter feed we will receive 11 more sometime this week.  This track premiered on DJ Infamous’ radio show the other day and it features Wale over a beat from his go-to producer from DC, Tone P. The attendees at Lollapalooza last week were treated to a special surprise when Deadmau5 debuted his new stage setup for his upcoming tour (Meowington’s Hax Tour).  Not only is the stage set-up legendary, but he also debuted a new song that is definitely cause for excitement.  This excitement for some Deadmau5 material is something that has been lacking for me lately.  His last album, 4×4=12, was pretty mediocre in my book, but hopefully this new release is a good case for future excitement. Here is the first visual from Ye’ and Jay off of Watch The Throne.  I usually don’t care too much about music videos, but I enjoyed this one.  Spike Jonze was behind the helm on this one, and it seems more natural than most.  In other Watch the Throne news it looks like the album is on pace to sell 400-500k this week.  Didn’t expect anything less. This 30-second snippet has had the internet buzzing the past day or two.  Definitely a highly anticipated collaboration for many, and personally I can’t wait to hear the final product.  This will be the first single off of Wale’s MMG debut/sophomore album.  Be sure to check back here when the final product drops.   Tweet

I’m not sure how I missed this trailer which dropped about a month ago, but this morning I ran into it while  cruising the internet.  A Tribe Called Quest is legendary for so many different reasons, and a full documentary on them is beyond deserving. Looking forward to this one. Tweet

Theophilus London dropped this track off to Herfection as the first of many give-aways leading up to the release of his album on July 19th.  His debut album is titled “Timez Are Weird These Days” and although this particular track will not be on the debut album, it will be on a mixtape (titled “Prince TL”) dropping this fall.  This record is produced by Dave Sitek from TV On The Radio and features a smooth flow that Theophilus is always able to provide. Just as we were all promised over the various social networks that we frequent these days, here we have some fresh material off of Chiddy Bang’s debut album, Breakfast. I’m really feeling this one, the combination of Chidera’s verses and Xaphoon’s production always flows well together.
