I was cruising The Hype Machine and found this stellar throwback jam. Whatever happened to awesome remixes/collaborations? It’s easy to be spoiled by this track, as it features an all-star cast: Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mos Def, and Busta Rhymes. I’m not asking for five hall of fame rappers to appears on all remixes, but everything I’ve heard recently doesn’t hold a candle to this. “Drive It Like You Stole It” is the first leaked track off The Glitch Mob’s upcoming album titled Drink The Sea which is due out on May 25. They’re scheduled to perform at The Middle East in Cambridge on May 5 to promote said album (click here for full tour schedule). I know I’ll be purchasing the album as soon as it becomes available. It’s absolutely amazing how this group fuses hip-hop and techno/electronic to create addictive beats.
