Loreen – Euphoria (Tiger & Wolf Remix)

Got my hands on another massive electro jam for the people here.  Tiger & Wolf take the pop-oriented track from their fellow countrywoman Loreen and inject it with steroids. Obviously everyone I’m talking about here hails from Sweden — didn’t think I really had to bring that up… with the way that they’re taking over the globe via dance music and all.  Anyways, the original version here gives me kind of a Celine Dion Titanic vibe and frankly, watching Loreen perform it made me die laughing.  No real reason at all and not to discredit her song or performance, it … Continue reading

Crazy P – Friday (Instrumental Mix)

Yup, its Friday the 13th and spring is in full effect. Which means it’s time for… Crazy P, aka Crazy Penis, but for the sake of this blog post, we’ll just stick to Crazy P. This group has been murdering the nu-disco, funk scene for quite some time now and their entire catalog is sensational for straight groovin’. This instrumental is entitled “Friday,” and it’s got me feeling good already. So get your ass outta bed, jam this chune and soon you’ll be moonwalking out the front door. The Temper Trap – Need Your Love

The Temper Trap were catapulted to borderline absurd levels of popularity with the help of “Sweet Disposition” and their debut album Conditions back in 2009. Looking back, I pretty much said this exact same sentence when I posted “Rabbit Hole”, a first look off of their new album. Fast-forwarding to the chase here: “Need Your Love” is the title track, and it’s unfairly addictive. Working on my fourth spin over here, and there are no signs of slowing down. Stream only unfortunately; but keep an eye out for the album release on June 5th. Tweet

The S – Death & Rainbows

Here I want to introduce to you all an Italian DJ duo known as The S. Alright that’s all I got — honestly can’t find anything else on these two anywhere — so that’s my introduction. Their website bio simply says: “A song says a thousand words” (The S) The S. 100% italian chords. Massive sounds, accessible to all. Do you think our biography is too short? Reread the quote above. The S love you. Either way the song definitely portrays that massive sound and the piano cords are sounding super righteous.  Definitely a party banger right here. [Audio clip: … Continue reading

Sunday Girl – Where Is My Mind (Pixies Cover)

I don’t know too much about this chick Sunday Girl other than the fact that she hails from the UK, has a drop-dead sexy voice and she’s all over YouTube. While mindlessly scouring the web for some mind-numbingly entertaining videos, I accidentally stumbled upon her cover of “Where Is My Mind”, and it blew me away. She nailed it. This joint has been my guilty pleasure for too long, and I still love it. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Sunday Girl – Where Is My Mind (Pixies Cover) Tweet

Dada Life – April 2012 Mix

Dada Life brings it again with the April installment of their monthly podcast.  As everyone in Southern California (except me) heads out to the desert for Coachella this weekend, I have come to the conclusion that I will be most upset missing this crazy champagne and banana loving duo.  Either way, this will have to hold me over till next Thursday, as I will be heading to the magical city of Las Vegas to see another crazy electro duo… Tracklist after the jump. Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl ft. Georgi Kay – In My Mind (Axwell Mix)

If you’re a frequent visitor of The Chuckness, you already know I have been away from for a hot minute… (your boy’s been taking care of some serious business). Although this track has been sitting around for a little while now, I thought it would be an absolute shame for anyone to miss out on it. It is straight mind boggling how talented of a producer Axwell from the Swedish House Mafia is. I mean, the dude accounts for 95% of the producing for SHM and drops banger after banger after BANGER. Lets also not forget, the dude is an … Continue reading

Nari & Milani – Atom

Ladies and gentleman, after a major kick in the ass from Sir Chuck himself, I am proud to announce the triumphant return of Mr. Francois!! Over the next few weeks, as I inch/crawl closer towards graduation, you shall be seeing more posts from moi. In the meantime, it seemed appropriate to deliver you this ginormous banger of epic proportions. This original from Nari & Milani has been picked up by the biggest names in EDM, notably Steve Angello from the Swedish House Mafia and was voted one of the biggest tracks from this years Miami Music Week. Combining big room techno sounds … Continue reading

KO KO – So Strange

A couple weeks ago, KO KO’s “Float” seemingly came out of nowhere and lit a fire under the blogosphere. After doing further research, it’s apparent that this jam is not the L.A. siblings’ only weapon in their arsenal. Their jarringly addictive debut EP is home to “So Strange” as well — which in my book is just as noteworthy as “Float”, if not more so. For whatever reason, I’m getting vibes of Bloc Party’s “So Here We Are”, which is still a song that I find myself coming back to after 5+ years later. In other words, “So Strange” immediately … Continue reading

Queen of Hearts – Neon

Ruh roh. Might have a new British dime on my hands — all credit due to All Things Go. The DC natives are gearing up for the official 7″ release of “Neon” on May 14th, and they’ve graced us with an exclusive stream of the title track beforehand. With a chorus that infiltrated my dome at record speed, I’m here to state that I couldn’t be more on board. More club-oriented than say, my other British, electro-folk star Ellie Goulding — yet not even close to a generic dance track — it seems that Queen of Hearts is onto something … Continue reading
