Props to Barstool

How To Make It In America Ep.4

March 2, 2010 - 1:40 pm

HBO posted this episode online 5 days early for our viewing pleasures on the internet.  I really enjoy this show, it is moving kind of slow but this episode picked it up a little bit.

Click here or the page numbers on the bottom if you missed episodes 2 & 3.

Help Pick This College Baseball Legend’s Walk-Up Song

February 27, 2010 - 1:00 pm

mattperry

A friend of mine recently hit me up looking for suggestions for his upcoming baseball season’s walk-up song.  If you find yourself out of the loop here, the walk-up song is the jam that’s blasted over the speakers as a batter walks to the plate, and it’s arguably the most important facet of a player’s game.  It’s representative of the player’s state of mind, and can be utilized as a devastating intimidation factor.

You might be asking yourself, why is this suburban Holy Cross baseball player side by side in a photo with Wale?  Not only do they share similar physical attributes, but Matty P. has Wale’s “Nike Boots” as his top walk-up pick right now.  If unfamiliar, this is the jam that put Wale on the map outside of D.C.; give it a listen below:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Definitely a solid pick as a walk-up jam, there’s no doubt about it…but I think we can do even better.  First of all, this isn’t just an ordinary college baseball player, so we can’t just go with an ordinary jam…Matty P deserves perfection.  The kid hit .423 with 7 dingers and 37 RBIs, and he needs a banger to coincide with his dominance.

Hit me with some recommendations in the comment section.

Epic Shaun White Crash

February 2, 2010 - 8:25 pm

Watching this video gives me so much joy because I am not a fan of Shaun White.  Do not get me wrong I think he is unbelievably talented and probably the best rider in HALF-PIPE ever.  But he has completely sold out, and shows the mainstream what I personally believe to be the completely wrong view of snowboarding.  It is very hard for me to describe why I do not like Shaun White to a person who does not know much about snowboarding, but I think the way he displays the so called “sport” to the mainstream public is wrong.  Now do I know if it is his fault? No, it could be his sponsors.  But as a fan of snowboarding and everything about it, it seems as if he has no integrity in what he is doing.

So there is my little rant and do not get me wrong I wish him luck in the Olympics but I hope Scotty Lago wins gold.

P.S.

Scotty Lago killin shit:

Jersey Shore Soundboard – Greatest Invention Ever?

January 21, 2010 - 8:20 pm

“Come on, bro. The idea to create The Complex Jersey Shore Soundboard was as easy as Snooki after two Jäger shots. What the streets demand, we deliver. That’s why we’ve compiled the greatest quotables from MTV’s greatest reality series for—dare we say—our greatest Soundboard ever. Yep, the whole Guido gang is here: Snickers, The Situation, Pauly D, Sammi “Is Not Really A” Sweetheart, Ronnie, J-WOWW, Vinny, Angelina, and even the muthafuckin’ Grenade. So even if the first season of Jersey Shore ends with its finale on MTV tonight, the fully embeddable Soundboard above will live forever. Seriously, bro.”

This thing has arguably the greatest replay value of all time, I’m just jammin on The Situation all day I can’t help myself.

araabMUZIK is Ridiculous

January 6, 2010 - 9:12 pm

I usually do not pay much attention to videos containing stuff about artists or producers I have never heard of, but for some reason I watched this one posted on Nah Right.  The producers name is araabMUZIK and watching him chop up these songs is crazy.  My favorite is when he starts to tweak the DJ Shadow song “Building Steam With a Grain of Salt” at 1:48.
