There was word that Chiddy Bang was going to remix a track from The Naked and Famous, and it recently came to light. Here, they put their token spin on “Young Blood”, and it works out beautifully. We’re all used to Chiddy’s insane freestyle skills by now, but this video takes it to an entirely different level. It’s not new by any means, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it, and Chiddy goes off for over 7 minutes on random beats from Grizzly Bear to Jackson 5…about anything that comes to mind. Back to back days with new Chiddy Bang material. This right here is the first single off of the Drexel duo’s upcoming mixtape/mini-album, The Preview. The production mixes the talents of Xaphoon Jones and the legendary Pharrell Williams.  It’s crazy listening to this song and hearing the two very distinct styles of both producers.  Pharrell adds in a smooth piano backdrop, and that mixed with Xaphoon’s mastery of the synthesizer make this a certified banger.  Enjoy…I can’t stop listening. Ahh, we all saw this coming. Alright maybe not all of us, but we knew it was in the works. When we asked Chiddy when the album was dropping a couple weeks ago, he smirked and said he didn’t know. Apparently they’re working out the final kinks, and while it was originally supposed to come out this August, it’s been pushed back to early next year. Big Sean just dropped his most recent mixtape today, titled Finally Famous Vol. 3… it features tons of big names, from Drake to Mike Posner. I haven’t made it through the whole thing yet, but I hit this track first (due to the Chiddy Bang feature) and was immediately into it. This past Monday night was a hell of an experience. Jimbo and I got to shoot the shit a little bit with Chiddy Bang and XV at Karmaloop on Newbury St. before we went over to their concert at Harper’s Ferry in Boston…which was beyond awesome. It’s always a plus when the guys behind your favorite music of the moment are actually humble, appreciative people. Kelis (everybody remembers her from “Milkshake” fame) teams up with Chiddy Bang to add a little flair to her jam “Acapella”. Here’s a sneak peak of an upcoming Chiddy Bang track, “Hero”, which is supposed to be off their debut album, The Swelly Life (currently set to drop September 14th). A couple things here. First and foremost, I want to know what the hell happened to Xaphoon’s front tooth. Remembering where the hype began is one of my all time favorite games to play.
