Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Radio

Late last week Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia debuted his Podcast Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Radio. To put it simply, it’s incredible. It’s 60 minutes of old, new, and unreleased audible fire. Highlights include “In My Mind (Axwell Mix)”; Alesso’s “Raise Your Head”; Tommy Trash’s take on “Antidote”; the Swedish House Mafia remix of “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”; the list goes on and on. Subscribe to the Podcast here so you can keep an eye out for the next installment, which should drop on March 1 according to Seb. Tracklist after the jump. Zedd – Shave It

Zedd dropped this song on Tuesday under Skrillex’s OWSLA label. I was tracking this song and was excited about it, but they released it on Beatport. Why does that matter? Because I don’t mind paying for music and supporting the artists, and when possible I’ll buy music. But $2.49 for a single song is way too much. Now that I’ve made my excuse for being two days late on this, this song is awesome. It has an incredible amount of energy. I was at the Zeds Dead concert last night and one of the opening DJ’s (Tjani from NY, if … Continue reading

Pretty Lights – I Know The Truth

I’ve been waiting for this since I saw Pretty Lights at Lollapalooza (technically I saw him at the Congress Theater after Lollapalooza). He opened with this song and I was instantly hooked. A decent sounding live recording of “I Know The Truth” has been floating around since Bonnaroo, but I wanted clean, crisp studio quality. I finally got my wish today, so hit play below and turn it up as loud as you’d like. Oh, and if you’re in Boston go grab your tickets for Pretty Lights already. The show is September 23. STS9 – Beyond Right Now (Glitch Mob Remix)

Just came across this awesome remix, that mashes together a couple cool songs. This is my first exposure to STS9 (short for Sound Tribe Sector 9) but I’m definitely going to be checking out their other tracks. I’m not usually a fan of mash-ups in the traditional sense, where the lyrics of one song are played over another beat – I find it boring. I do appreciate it when artists like Girl Talk take elements of many different songs and fuse them to create a unique new product. That’s what the Glitch Mob has done here. I’ve included the two … Continue reading

Dubsidia – Don’t Tell It

Here’s a great dubstep jam not for the faint of heart. I don’t know much about Dubsidia – the duo hails from Spain and makes some raw dubstep beats. They have an EP out now titled Here Comes Trouble, and are featured on an album coming out 8/15 titled Spanish Ravesolution. If you think you can handle the darker side of dubstep, then these guys are for you. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Dubsidia – Don’t Tell It Tweet

Tiesto feat. Diplo – C’mon

Today was an exciting day for anyone who’s into electronic music since single day passes to Electric Zoo just went on sale. I’ve never been, and I can’t wait to go in just a month and a half. So today I set out to find something to satiate my need for a new electronic jam and I find this gem. While Tiesto is unfortunately not on the roster for Electric Zoo, Diplo is, so get your hands on some passes. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Tiesto feat. Diplo – C’mon Tweet

Monarchy – Gold In The Fire/Black, The Color Of My Heart

Two phenomenal jams from a London-based electro-pop duo.  Caught this over at PMA, and I can’t get enough…definitely my favorite songs of the moment.  I’m struggling to figure out which song I like better, so we’ll just call it a draw.  Check them out: [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Monarchy – Gold In The Fire [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Monarchy – Black, The Color Of My Heart Tweet

Chromeo – Night By Night

Chromeo is a Canadian electrofunk band that sounds straight off of the 1980′s dancefloor…but in a cool way, if that’s possible.  Hit up their album Fancy Footwork for a taste of who they are.  They just released their new single “Night By Night”, check it out here: [Audio clip: view full post to listen] A little slice of Fancy Footwork… listen to “Bonafide Lovin”: [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Tweet

Hot Chip – Ready For The Floor

This British electronic band is popular across the ocean, but has yet to gain significant recognition in the U.S.  Listen to “Ready For The Floor”, off their most recent album, Made In The Dark. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Tweet
