J. Here is a new track off of Young Chris’ next album featuring his fellow ROC Nation label mate, J. Cole.  Both their verses start off with a play off of a line from Kanye’s “Through The Wire”.  J. One of the more hyped up-and-comers in 2010 (not sure if he even qualifies as a rookie anymore) takes the beat from Common and John Mayer’s “Go!” and puts his own spin on it.  I remember being let down when that song first dropped just because it was beyond repetitive…but I’m liking what J. B.o.B aka Bobby Ray dropped this mixtape yesterday and in classic B.o.B fashion he does not disappoint at all.  I love how B.o.B’s sound is so unique, infusing hip hop and rock together perfectly.  I listened to the whole tape a couple times through and it is something that should be in everyone’s music library.  Look out for Bobby Ray’s album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which comes out on May 25th (I wonder where he got the name for this mixtape?) of this year.  Here are some standouts: B.o.B- The Rain [Audio clip: view full post to listen] B.o.b … Continue reading →
