Lil Wayne- Right Above It (Feat. Drake) (CDQ)

This is a CDQ version that just came out and it is supposed to be the first single off of Wayne’s I’m Not A Human Being EP that will be released on September 27th, which is Lil Wayne’s birthday as well.  The song is definitely a good one but once again this version is a radio rip so there are tags all over it.  Enjoy… Download: Lil Wayne- Right Above It (Feat. The Best Tracks of July

Another month gone, which means another Best Tracks of the Month feature coming at you from The Chuckness.  We received an extremely positive response with our test run last month, so naturally we’ve decided to keep the trend going here in July.  Here are the top 21 tracks of the month, mixed and mastered into a continuous playlist below.  Just like last time, conveniently download a Zip file of the entire tracklist, unzip it, and add it to your iTunes in one fell swoop.  The ears felt good this month. Jay-Z feat. Lil Wayne – Summer In Brooklyn (Quincy Jones x Cookin Soul Remix)

Spotted this track a little while ago and it mixes Jay-Z’s “Hello Brooklyn” with a couple different tracks but most notably The Pharacyde’s “Passin’ Me By”.  A very smooth blend of different beats…Enjoy [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Jay-Z feat. Lil Wayne (feat. Birdman) – Stuntin Like My Daddy (FAMUEL Remix)

Don’t be put off by the obnoxiously loud gunshots upon pressing play. This is an intriguing little remix to the Lil Wayne/Birdman anthem.  The best part of the jam has, and will always be when Wayne audibly eats a bag of potato chips, and this remix captures that moment perfectly in the beginning.  A bizarre beat nonetheless, but I dig what it did for the song. In other news, Wayne gets out of jail in November, and DMX is returning to jail for the 459th time.  The dude just loves being behind bars.  I don’t know why people don’t pay … Continue reading

The Best Tracks of June

I’ve decided to spice up the way we do business around here by adding a little “Best of the Month” feature.  This is for all of the amateurs who don’t check the site on a daily basis, and want a quick breakdown of the top tracks of the past few weeks.  Thus, I have created a method with which you can cherry pick my favorite tracks of the month by simply viewing one post.  Mind boggling right? I’ve included a mixed and mastered continuous stream of the top tracks of the month, just in case you wanted to fluidly listen … Continue reading

MGMT (feat. Lil Wayne) – Someone’s Missing

There’s no denying that MGMT’s second album was weird as hell.  I tried really hard to like it, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.  This little remix to “Someone’s Missing” (brought to you by dj.ck) on the other hand, I can get down with.  Adding a few seconds of Weezy flair has done wonders to this track.  Granted, his appearance lasts for about 20 seconds…but it’s great nonetheless. Unfortunately, he’ll be “missing” until November.  P&P with the find. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: MGMT (feat. Lil Wayne) – Someone’s Missing

Eminem (feat. Lil Wayne) – No Love

An absolutely huge track right here off Em’s upcoming album Recovery.  Lil Wayne returns the favor (after Em hopped on his “Drop The World”), and he gives him a verse on “No Love”.  Just Blaze manages to take the A Night at the Roxbury theme by Haddaway and make it hood as shit, which just sounds like an oxymoron.  Monstrous track that has me expecting an epic album in Recovery. You need this one.  Props to Samwise who jumped on it. UPDATE: The album has since leaked in it’s entirety, and is naturally spreading all over the internet like wildfire. … Continue reading

Drake (feat. Lil Wayne) – Miss Me // Drake (feat. Young Jeezy) – Unforgettable

Two new tracks off Drake’s upcoming, debut album Thank Me Later.  I know everybody is just going buckwild over anything and everything he releases…and rightfully so.  I was definitely slow to jump on the Drake bandwagon, but “Congratulations” (right-click, “Save Link As” for easy download) turned me into a full-fledged follower.  It’s crazy to think the guy has yet to release his first album. Flo Rida (feat. Lil Wayne) – Fresh I Stay (Part 2)

I once made a pact to never post anything by Flo Rida.  “Fresh I Stay” just has a beat that refuses to leave my head; and it features a little verse from everybody’s favorite inmate…which left me with no choice but to post.  Somehow Wayne is still recording dynamite verses from his jail cell.  From daily blogging, to recording new tracks…Weezy makes jail look like an accommodating resort.  Spotted @ P&P. Nas & Damian Marley- My Generation Feat. Lil Wayne and Joss Stone

A lot of times when tracks begin to leak before an album comes out, I get disappointed with their quality and I lose excitement for the project.  This however is not the case for Distant Relatives by any means.  Nas and Damian Marley are killing it right now with the quality of the music but most importantly what they are saying in the songs….May 18th is the day to support this much needed album.
