Lil’ Wayne- On Fire

This song is Lil’ Wayne’s next single for Rebirth.  The producers for the song are Cool & Dre, and this beat is fire (no pun intended).  I thought No Ceilings was perfect, this song is great, but Rebirth is probably going to be sub par at best.  Nonetheless here is the track for your enjoyment. Download: Lil’ Wayne- On Fire [Audio clip: view full post to listen] P.S. If your thinking to yourself, “Oh shit I have heard that song that Cool & Dre are using for the sample,” well you probably have if you ever saw Scarface.  Here is … Continue reading

Forever (Dr. Rosen Rosen Remix)

I’m not usually huge on bizarre remixes, but this one from Dr Rosen Rosen is unreal.  He completely revamps the song and gives it an entirely new sound that works perfectly, it’s hard to do but he pulled it off.  Let me know what you think. Watch The Carter Documentary in FULL Right Here

Christmas came early my friends. Awesome documentary, really gives you an inside look into the life of Wayne. I’m still not convinced he’s a real person. Arguably the most quotable movie of 2009, check it out before it gets taken down. Tweet

The Carter Documentary

The Carter premiered that past winter at the Sundance Film Festival, and received really strong reviews.  Big drama behind this one though.  Wayne gave the son of musician Quincy Jones the right to film him on tour, as long as he had approval of the final cut.  Lil Wayne never approved of the final cut before it was submitted to Sundance, and so he went on to sue the director and the film company, stating that the documentary portrays him in a negative light.  Apparently it’s a really gritty film, as you can see from the trailer, and the rapper … Continue reading

Lil Wayne – No Ceilings (Mixtape)

The self-proclaimed “best rapper alive” is finally putting down his Robitussin cocktails and getting back to what he does best…he’s just not meant to make a hard rock album let’s be serious.  Just in time before he begins serving his 1 year prison sentence… UPDATE: Official mixtape below with 5 new tracks- Download: Lil Wayne – No Ceilings (Mixtape) Quick standouts: [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Lil Wayne – Run This Town [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Lil Wayne – I Got No Ceilings Tweet

Weezer (feat. Lil Wayne) – Can’t Stop Partying

Wow.  Is this absolutely terrible?  I can’t tell if Weezer is being serious or not.  It sounds like they’re just making fun of hip-hop culture…but they might be really trying to pull this collaboration off.  It’s off their upcoming album, Raditude, which drops November 3rd. I could see this becoming the most annoying, overplayed song since anything by The Black Eyed Peas.  I don’t even know why I’m posting this, it’s horrendous…but at the same time sort of catchy and I really don’t want it to be. Birdman (feat. Drake & Lil Wayne) – Money To Blow

New track that’ll be featured on Birdman’s upcoming album, Priceless.  Real original lyrics about spending a ton of money…for some reason it’s on repeat though- [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Tweet

Brooklyn Soul

This mixtape came out last year sometime, but kind of flew under the radar.  Jay-Z’s “Hello Brooklyn” mixed with Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing”…hands down the best track on the mixtape.  Enjoy- [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Tweet

Drake (feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, & Eminem) – Forever

[Audio clip: view full post to listen] I can’t take Drake seriously.  I’m really trying to, but after playing Wheelchair Jimmy in Degrassi (the ultimate tween drama on The N), I don’t think it’s possible.  Regardless, he’s blowing up everywhere.  Click on the thumbs up below if you can take Drake seriously, or click the thumbs down if you think there’s no way in hell he’s escaping his Wheelchair Jimmy days.
