Band Of Horses – The Funeral (Butch Clancy Remix)

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten into an over the top, eardrum-shattering dubstep remix. Scouring the wild and crazy World Wide Web led me to this doozie today remixed by Butch Clancy. He takes on Band Of Horses’ “The Funeral”, otherwise known as the sample Kid Cudi used for “The Prayer”, and it’s pretty phenomenal if you’re in the mood for some chaos. It’s a great original song, an even better sample for Cudi’s jam, and it makes for one hell of a dubstep remix. Hit the stream and download below. The Naked & Famous – Rescue Song (Remix)

The Naked & Famous are responsible for one of my favorite albums last year in Passive Me, Aggressive You. Their debut is filled with esay-going, catchy melodies from the New Zealand natives; if you can get your hands on it it’s undoubtedly worth picking up. Anyways, they just recently released this remix of Mr. Little Jeans’ “Rescue Song”, and it’s got a laid back vibe that’s sitting well with me at the moment. Hit play below and add it to your libraries. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: The Naked & Famous – Rescue Song (Remix) [via] Tweet

The Knocks – Ain’t Too Proud To Beg

The Knocks strictly crank out addicting tracks. It’s a part of their formula. Which is why I’m amped to catch their show with Ellie Goulding in a couple of weeks; just gonna be an absolute rage festival. The original track here by The Temptations is catchy enough, but The Knocks are able to add a little flair to make it that much better for our generation. Hit their awesome remix of The Temptations’ “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” below. The Killers – When You Were Young (The Soundmen Remix)

Love the original by The Killers, but was intrigued by this remix from The Soundmen when I came across it – just cause I can’t think of a way that you could remix this song successfully. This one came out well in my book though, what do you think? Yay? Nay? Let me know. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: The Killers – When You Were Young (The Soundmen Remix) Tweet

Armin Van Buuren (feat. Laura V) – Drowning (Avicii Remix)

Something about this one just hits me the right way. Swedish producer Avicii takes on Armin Van Buuren’s “Drowning”, and the track literally explodes. I don’t consider myself well-versed in house/techno; I mean I like select tracks, but I’m not a junkie by any means. This track wipes out genre definitions for me. Just 7 minutes of addictive mayhem that the Chevy Malibu is going to have to experience this weekend. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Armin Van Buuren (feat. Javelin – Tryouts (Brenton Duvall Remix with Childish Gambino)

Sunset In The Rearview premiered this new track from Brenton Duvall earlier today, and we got us some gold as always. If you follow this site in the slightest, you know that I’m a heavy, heavy supporter of Brenton, and it’s awesome to see him get better the more he produces. Don’t get me wrong, that Sleepyhead remix from last year which jump-started his success was dynamite, but he’s on another level these days. Here he remixes Javelin’s “Tryouts” with some Childish Gambino vocals. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Javelin – Tryouts (Brenton Duvall Remix with Childish … Continue reading

Pretty Lights – All Of The Lights (Remix)

If you’ve never been to Mammoth, go immediately. It combines the best features of every ski mountain you’ve ever been to, and puts all of them in one location. The best two days of skiing in my life, hands down. EB and I are about to make our way down to Redondo Beach, but I had to give you all a little something before we head out. Dubstep fans, I see you. I’m gonna be honest the vast majority of your genre is just over the top, ear-shattering bass. 75% of the time it doesn’t do it for me. I … Continue reading

Mike Posner (feat. Lil Wayne) – Bow Chicka Wow Wow (Remix)

Damnit Posner. The potential was through the roof with this kid. I still follow what he’s up to and try to keep track of the moves he’s making, but it’s tough when he’s legitimately releasing “Bow Chicka Wow Wow” as his third single. And he got Wayne on the remix??? It’s wild how huge he’s gotten in a single year. From making beats in his dorm room, to getting Lil Wayne on his own song…it’s crazy. I don’t mean to hate on him, nor do I want to be that guy that all of a sudden despises an artist when … Continue reading

Adele – Rolling In The Deep (Jamie xx Shuffle)

London’s own Adele has golden pipes. That’s all there is to it. You probably recognize “Hometown Glory” or “Chasing Pavements”, and she just recently dropped her new single titled “Rolling in the Deep”. The British producer behind the growing indie group, the xx, just released this glossy remix to the track; and it’s a keeper. Give it a listen below.
