Wale – Ambition (Feat. Meek Mill & Rick Ross)

With the marketing push for Ambition going full force right now, another cut from the album has been released to the masses.  This was one of the tracks I was really looking forward to hearing, and it definitely surpasses my expectations. The previews we got yesterday really don’t give us much to figure out which tracks will shine.  After listening to this song, featuring fellow MMG rappers Meek Mill and Rick Ross, it is clear that it will definitely be one of the stand outs. Wale – Tats On My Arm (Feat Rick Ross) (Clean)

For the second day in a row we’re blessed with a cut off of Wale’s sophmore album, Ambition.  I waited for the tagless version to drop before posting this, but it’s the clean version so you’ll have to deal with it for the time being.  Ambition seems to be coming together nicely, with the way these two previous releases have sent the Twitter world into a frenzy, Wale’s work ethic is clearly starting to pay off.   This is a perfect track to add to my road trip playlist as I begin my journey from D.C. to Boston for the … Continue reading

Wale – Best Night Ever (Feat. Rick Ross & Kevin Cossum)

Yesterday I was sitting down about mid-day to have some lunch and to watch some ESPN.  As usual, First Take was on and Skip Bayless was doing his normal act of yelling stubborn, often ridiculous opinions.  Only the person on the other end doing the exact same thing was none other than Wale.  Random to say the least, but after it aired I stumbled upon this new track from the DC native that was premiered by Funkmaster Flex the other day.  The song itself is a decent effort with a nice smooth sound and addicting chorus.  Not sure if this … Continue reading

Drake – “Club Paradise” & “Free Spirit”

Drake released these two new ones to the masses the other day via his personal blog OVOXO. “Club Paradise” is written as an ode to a strip club in his hometown of Toronto, and per usual Drake style he reveals personal emotions via his story-telling methods. His supporters say he’s a real rapper who’s not afraid to tell people about his life and personal relationships; his haters say he’s an over-sensitive emo “rapper”. That will never change. For the anti-Drake listeners, the second track features Ricky Rozay, and should be more appealing to you. Take Care is slated to drop … Continue reading

Yung Joc (feat. Rick Ross) – Ugh

Is “Ugh” the greatest adlib of all time? Is it even close? Does anyone else have an entire track devoted to one’s adlib? (Besides Big Sean… I do it, boi) These are questions I face everyday. Weeks ago I was bangin’ away on the Rick Ross Soundboard for a good hour, and it just never got old. Now I have an entire song at my disposal, dedicated to the greatest sound of the past century. It’s Christmas in July. If you’re curious why you recognize Yung Joc — he was last seen at the mall. [Audio clip: view full post … Continue reading

Big Sean (feat. Rick Ross & Pusha T) – 100 Keys

Big Sean’s new album is gonna have the music industry buzzing when it drops on June 28th. There’s no question. A bunch of tracks have surfaced off the album in the past few days, including this bonus track featuring Rick Ross and Pusha T; but this is gonna be the last one I put out there for you all. Actually, “100 Keys” isn’t even on the album, it’s just a bonus track…which should tell you something about the quality of the album tracks. Do yourself a favor and support good music by pre-ordering Finally Famous on iTunes. [Audio clip: view full … Continue reading

DJ Khaled (feat. Drake, Lil Wayne & Rick Ross) – I’m On One (Karetus Remix)

Came across this dubstep remix today to the most recent hip-hop anthem that’s sweeping the country. I didn’t realize “I’m On One” would have the mass success that it’s actually having; but it just goes to show if you throw Drake on a hook and add in some Wayne and/or Rick Ross, it’s a formula for guaranteed success. This remix completely transforms the song; and honestly I change my mind about it everytime I listen to it — which is why I need you to tell me how it is. It catches me at the beginning, then I just get … Continue reading

Rick Ross & Andy Samberg Discuss Ad-Libs

Jimbo has literally been laughing at this for 48 straight hours. We’ve pretty much been having Rick Ross “HUH”-offs for two days straight. Shout out to Complex. Tweet

DJ Khaled (feat. Lil Wayne, Drake & Rick Ross) – I’m On One

DJ Khaled is known for yelling his name obnoxiously throughout anything and everything he’s associated with. For a reason unknown, he seems to have turned over a new leaf with his latest track, as he’s eerily silent with the exception of one “DJ KHALED!!!” outburst in the beginning. I’m not sure how he can label this as his track, as he’s not rapping and he didn’t make the beat, but it’s cool. Off his upcoming album We The Best Forever — hit the download below. Lil Wayne (feat. Rick Ross) – If I Die Today

Wayne dropped the so-called second single off Tha Carter IV today, and it’s good to see him going back to his roots here. Sounds like something he would’ve put out years ago; which is a good thing in my book. Hit the stream and download below, and let me know what you think.
