“We Were Once A Fairytale”

This short film, directed by Spike Jonze (director of Where The Wild Things Are), recently released and it’s been getting a lot of buzz around the blogosphere…particularly because it stars Kanye West, of all people.   I’m gonna need a lot of input on this, because after first watching it I had absolutely no idea what the encompassing theme was.    The video’s really bizarre, so if you make it through all 11 minutes, please let me know what the hell it’s about.  I’m guessing it’s a film about keeping your inner ego/demon in check…thus attempting to repair Kanye’s battered image.  … Continue reading

Excitement Building For “Where The Wild Things Are”?

I’m trying to gauge general excitement for this flick, people either grew up with the book and can’t wait to see the movie…or they have no idea what the huge buildup is about.  To the naked eye, the trailer could look like the director was on acid…but for me, this book was my jam back in elementary school, so I can’t wait to see how it translates to the big screen.  Hit me with your thoughts-
