The Knocks (feat. One Room) – All We Got (Brenton Duvall Remix)

New remix from the dude Brenton Duvall — taking on The Knocks’ “All We Got” off their EP Magic. This isn’t a remix though, this shit is an entirely different song — slowed down, hazy and barely recognizable as that track with Kardinal Offishall off The Knocks’ mini-album. Toss in some help from the One Room mystery men (Samuel and Chris P) and you have something serious. Both are gold in my book. Shoutout to Brenton for being on the Bonnaroo lineup this year — that shit is wild. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: The Knocks (feat. One … Continue reading

The Knocks – Learn To Fly

The Knocks released a brand new track for the masses today — and “Learn To Fly” hones in on all of the ingredients that have made their previous releases so ideal for the dancefloor. Synth mayhem, huge buildups, a hook that sticks in your head — it’s all here. I don’t know if they’ve played this live, or featured it in a promo video or something — but I definitely recognize the chorus on this. I could just be making shit up, who knows. Either way it’s a jam — pick it up below. Tweet

Dragonette – Let It Go (The Knocks Remix)

The Knocks continue to produce unfairly upbeat, danceable tracks — and their latest remix of Dragonette’s “Let It Go” is no exception. I can’t help but be biased towards these two — but when they never let us down with their new material, it’s hard not to be.  Flames on flames on flames. In their words: “We’re very proud of our newest remix of Dragonette’s “Let It Go.” We took the already anthemic track and tried elevate it to a more danceable status. We hope you like it as much as we do! For all of those in NYC, we … Continue reading

The Knocks – R.O.Y.L. (Official Video)

From The Knocks: “After hours spent gathering and editing countless amazing and creative fan submissions, the music video for our upcoming single, “R.O.Y.L,” is here! First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who took the time to support us and make a video. Without you, we wouldn’t have this wonderful masterpiece that will surely be talked about by art and film critics for their rest of their lives. We also want to give a shout out to Neon Hitch, Eliza Doolittle, and Chiddy Bang for making some special cameo appearances. We hope you enjoy the video as much as we do!” Tweet

Recap: The Knocks, St. Lucia, & Magic Man Live @ The Middle East – Boston, MA

Last Friday night, we were lucky enough to link up with Neon Gold Records to co-host the Boston leg of their Neon Gold Tour, headlined by The Knocks. The buzzing St. Lucia was locked in as the opening act, and a local act by the name of Magic Man kicked things off before that. Our resident DJ B-Rob was on site, keeping legs moving by mixing things up on the decks in between acts. The dude had the foresight to record part of his set live the night of the show, so check that below — and hit “Read More” … Continue reading

The Knocks Featured on Life + Times

Apparently The Knocks get Jay-Z’s approval too, which is awesome. Come to think of it I think I saw him in the crowd at our show with them last Friday. Blue Ivy was in the building too. Tweet

The Knocks (feat. Mandy Lee) – Midnight City (M83 Cover)

The Knocks dropped some hints over the weekend that they had a “Midnight City” remix on the way, and today they released it to the masses. Let’s be honest here, M83′s anthem is arguably the most remixed track of 2011, and I don’t think anybody wakes up in the morning waiting for another take on the song. That being said, The Knocks have brought in a girl by the name of Mandy Lee for the vocals, taking the track in a completely different direction than what was anticipated. Undoubtedly worth a listen. Tickets still on sale for the 3/2 show … Continue reading

The Knocks, Savoir Adore, St. Lucia & Magic Man Live @ The Middle East – Boston 3/2/12

Alright my friends, you’re gonna want to mark your calendars for Friday, March 2nd. We teamed up with Neon Gold Records to co-present the Boston leg of their inaugural Neon Gold Tour, which is bound to be something special. Like last October’s show, we’re bringing The Knocks back to town as the headlining act. On top of that, we have three dynamite opening bands to support them. St. Lucia has been a personal favorite of mine for months now, and they’re fresh off signing their multi-album deal with Columbia Records and Neon Gold. Savoir Adore took the internet machine by … Continue reading
