Broken Bells – The High Road
Broken Bells released this as their first single a week or two ago, and it’s taken a bit, but it’s really growing on me. The duo consists of Danger Mouse (award winning producer and 1/2 of Gnarls Barkley) and James Mercer (the lead vocalist for The Shins). It’s an unbelievably random pairing, but the two take their different genres, toss them in a blender, and the result is a good one.
