Wiz Khalifa – Work Hard Play Hard

The new single off of Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming sophomore album has landed. Lamely titled “Work Hard Play Hard”, it features production from heavyweights Stargate and Benny Blanco — and the chorus is probably going to be enough to propel it to the top of the hip-hop charts. Sounds like it came directly off Rolling Papers to me — which is ironic because he said he was going to try to stray from this sound on his next album. Either way this will be a smash, and O.N.I.F.C. is due out 8/28. Thoughts? Tweet

Wiz Khalifa – Taylor Allderdice (Mixtape)

Wiz Khalifa released his highly anticipated mixtape Taylor Allderdice tonight, and it’s apparently shut down the mixtape hosting site DatPiff.com.  100%. The people love Wiz. Below I have an alternative link put up by Wiz and his crew that’s working, but working very slowly because of all the people trying to get their hands on it. I have yet to give this a spin but the project has me a bit excited.  Wiz sent a statement saying that in hindsight his work on Rolling Papers wasn’t his most creative.  He didn’t have any regrets about the album, but he stated that he … Continue reading

Juicy J. (feat. Wiz Khalifa & Chevy Woods) – Cup

It’s been a bit since the days of Wiz Khalifa dropping new tracks left and right for the hell of it. In fact, it’s been unbelievably quiet from his camp for the past couple of months. Last week, Wiz came out of the blue and said that creatively, his debut album Rolling Papers was a letdown in his mind. “The mistake i made on Rolling Papers was thinking it was time to move on from that genre not knowing that it had impacted people so much. The album did great numbers, but creatively wasn’t my best work. No regrets though. … Continue reading

Trae Tha Truth (feat. Lupe Fiasco, Big Boi, Wale, Wiz Khalifa & MDMA) – I’m On

Holy hell that legitimately took like 3 minutes to type out. I have absolutely no idea how all of these names decided to jump on the same track, but it came together, and to me, the result lives up to expectations. A laid back beat provides the backdrop, and the track manages to capture all of the individual rappers’ talents without being overwhelming. Huge stamp of approval on this one; check it out for yourself below. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Trae Tha Truth (feat. Sublime With Rome (feat. Wiz Khalifa) – Can You Feel It

Sublime is arguably one of the biggest cult bands of all time, and they suffered a huge loss 15 years ago when their frontman, Bradley Nowell, passed away. Since then, they’ve been understandably disheveled. Attempting to progress the band’s sound and stature without their leader is no easy task; but most recently they seem to be on the right path. Old school fans will probably despise anything and everything that they come out with post-Brad, but you have to give them props that they’re still making music. They’ve added on a new lead singer, Rome Ramirez, and in my mind, … Continue reading

Mitch-Mash – Might Light You Better

I kind of feel like a jabroni posting this, but I can’t help it. Generally these clusterfuck mash-ups featuring 19 different artists make your ears bleed, but this one from Mitch-Mash has been on repeat for roughly 45 minutes. I no longer have a choice but to share it with you all. He takes Avicii’s “Levels”, tosses in some Ludacris, Amanda Blank, Ellie Goulding, Kelis, and Wiz Khalifa, blends it up, and somehow has something that’s worth listening to. I’m not sure how he did it; but give it a listen and let me know what you think. [Audio clip: … Continue reading

Tinie Tempah (feat. Wiz Khalifa) – Till I’m Gone

British rapper Tinie Tempah just released his next U.S.  single off his upcoming album Disc-Overy. Nabbing Wiz for a feature is probably a good way to go to gain some more popularity in the States, although “Written In The Stars” has been doing pretty well for itself these days. Neon Hitch – Silly Girl (Brenton Duvall Remix feat. Wiz Khalifa)

College phenom Brenton Duvall just dropped his latest remix on by, and this time he takes on Neon Hitch’s new track “Silly Girl”. Toss in a couple verses from Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming smash “No Sleep”, and you have yourself a smooth little remix. Check the kid’s tour schedule, word on the street is he puts on a hell of a show. Wiz Khalifa – Fly You + G Shyt

Really Wiz?  A self-titled fro-hawk with a blonde streak in it?  I’m not hating on it but…..come on.  Either way we have two new Wiz tracks that I don’t know the origins of,  but I would assume they are throw aways from the Rolling Papers recording sessions. DJ Drama – Oh My (feat. Fabolous, Roscoe Dash & Wiz Khalifa) (Prod. by Drumma Boy)

Drama put up a video with Wiz when they gave a little preview of this song on the radio last week, and now we have the full version with all the features.  This song sounds like any other club hip-hop record… but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking a fun vibe.  Off of DJ Drama’s Gansta Grillz 3.
