Some more new XV to share with the people. I get the feeling that he’s been spending the past few days just dicking around in the studio. But who knows, maybe this is the part of some grand marketing scheme leading up to his debut album in 2012. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: XV – 27 Club Tweet
XV’s back on the grind (not sure if he’s ever not on the grind), with this new release via his Soundcloud the other day. DJ Tech-Neek handles the production with a little sped-up soulful sample, and it fits the Wichita-native’s style perfectly. In other news, you might have heard XV’s “Awesome” in the background of Verizon commercials nation-wide — just the beginning of what’s to come. His debut album is due out in early 2012, so keep your eyes peeled. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: XV – Chaka Shao Khan Tweet
Here are the official visuals for XV’s “Awesome”, which can be found off of his latest mixtape, Zero Heroes. A little South Park concept to this one — be on the lookout for his debut studio album The Kid With The Green Backpack, due out in early 2012. Tweet
XV’s Zero Heroes mixtape dropped back in April, but it’s proving to have some serious longevity. The rapper from Wichita’s energy is out of control, and the combination of him with his unbelievably talented producer, Seven, is proving to be something serious. Gotta love The Dark Knight theme here. The Kid With The Green Backpack should be dropping in the near future — no word yet on an official release date for the debut album. Tweet

We went months without any new material from XV while he was on tour, and now we have two tracks in one week? I don’t hate it. XV was inspired from Inception on this one — and everything from the uplifting beat (which samples the Inception theme) to the creative wordplay is spot on. Get into this one. It’s been a bit since we’ve heard any new material from Kansas’ own, XV. He’s been in tour all summer — so it’s not like he’s been slacking. Here he jumps on the beat for Drake’s “Dreams Money Can Buy” and goes to town. If you like XV, there shouldn’t be a question that you’ll be into this one. XV decided to unleash a new track in order to celebrate hitting 30,000 followers on Twitter. On this song he raps over the Mt. Eden Dubstep song “Sierra Leone” that was posted well over a year ago. I like what I hear; I was always a fan of the beat and to hear XV rap over it makes it even better. XV just released his latest mixtape a few minutes ago titled Zero Heroes, his first since Vizzy Zone last fall. I haven’t been through the whole thing yet, but based off of a few select tracks I heard, you’re gonna want to add this to your arsenal. I’ll toss up a few highlights as soon as I’ve given it a complete listen. Hit the download below.
